  • Affirm:

    Invite a colleague to share its message and the inclusive vibe.
    Ask him/her/they to bring another object of interest.

    Broaden your world views by engaging with people from different backgrounds.

    Schedule a weekly meeting with a colleague from another culture or join an event from a diversity group.

    Gain insights on inclusivity issues and opportunities.

  • Act:

    Read a report, listen to a podcast, talk with experts on diversity and inclusivity.

  • Affirm:

    Share your learnings with your colleagues, coming from a place of curiosity. For example, “This morning I learnt from … about … I am curious, have you seen or heard anything in this direction?”

THE INCLUSIVE EVENT

  • Awake:

    Spread the feeling of belonging and appreciation.

  • Act:

    Initiate, with the support of others, a low-cost inclusive event for your department or project team. For example, “The pot-luck lunch” where everyone brings their favourite (self-cooked) dish or “The diverse art project hour” where everyone shares favourite music, movie or another piece of art.
    During the event share why people like what they bring.

  • Affirm:

    Consider extending the event to family to bring in our lives in.

  • Awake:

    Deepen self-awareness and -empowerment.

  • Act:

    Write down your learnings, mistakes and gains that you encountered during your Living Inclusivity Days.

    • What stroke you most?
    • What patterns in thinking or behaviour of yourself and others did you find?
    • What new challenges do you foresee to be taken next?
  • Affirm:

    Share your findings with a trusted colleague, mentor or during a regular team meeting. Discuss possible follow-up actions.
